There is a complete PropObex module available which uses three (with a cursor four(!?)) cogs and needs 80 MHz but delivers up to

• 1280x1024 pixel
• with 4 colors

The VGA out uses 8 IO pins (which will be dual-used by the 8 on-board diag-leds, cuz its cheap):

• 1 for H-Sync
• 1 for V-Sync
• 2 for Red
• 2 for Green
• 2 for Blue

I hope this'll work. At least, its what they do on the official [\Demoboard].
